Young Composer's Competition

The Young Composer's Competition is a new annual competition hosted by the Southeast District open to any high school or college student regardless of their affiliation or unaffiliation with Tau Beta Sigma or Kappa Kappa Psi. The competition consists of two categories, high school and college, dependent on the partcipant's status for the academic school year. An original composition written for band instruments is submitted to be judged and two winning pieces, one from each category, are selected. The winning pieces are performed at a Tau Beta Sigma Southeast District Event and the winning composers are awarded a scholarship of $200-$500.

Registration forms for the 2010 Young Composer's Competition are due October 1, 2009 and the final submissions are due January 1, 2010. Please see the following important forms for more information.

$$$ Rainy Day Fund $$$

The Rainy Day Fund is a Southeast District emergency fund comprised of contributions and donations from district chapters to assist those chapters or colonies who are in need of financial aid.

The Rainy Day Fund (RDF) is a fund that is not only unique to Tau Beta Sigma, but to the Southeast District as well. At the present time, we are the only district that provides assistance to chapters or colonies within our district who, for one reason or another, are not financially able to support or provide for themselves.
