1. Dixie Mosier-Greene Announces Retirement from National Headquarters
by Lt Col Alan Bonner, National Executive Director

Dixie Mosier-Greene will retire March 31, 2008 after completing 22 years of faithful service to Kappa Kappa Psi & Tau Beta Sigma!

Dixie began working for KKPsi & TBS in 1986 when the Headquarters offices were still located in the Seretean Center on the Oklahoma State University campus. She has witnessed amazing changes in the Fraternity & Sorority over the years, and especially how the operations of the Headquarters has adapted to ever-changing technologies to be able to provide more and better services to both Active & Alumni Members and the national leadership.

Dixie has played a major role in our expanded capabilities, particularly over the past twelve years with the creation, development and maintenance of the national master database. I'm proud to say, that for someone who reluctantly abandoned her 'electric typewriter', she embraced the learning challenge and became the office expert on how our database functioned! She 'fondly' recalls her first desktop computer here at the headquarters and her 'color' monitor. It was color because it had a green hue and white text (no other colors!!).

She has been the corporate memory for events that took place two decades ago, and her ability to keep track of all the chapter issues proved invaluable to me, especially during my early years at the Headquarters. Look for a well deserved salute to Dixie in the upcoming PODIUM which goes to press this week. Her service to KKpsi & TBS has earned her our respect and gratitude, and we all join in to wish her a healthy, peaceful and happy retirement!

Well done Dixie!

4. KKPsi & TBS Unveil New Email Services

The National Headquarters is pleased to announce that Kappa Kappa Psi and Tau Beta Sigma have successfully moved our free kkpsi.org and tbsigma.org email accounts to Google Apps. This move was in response to your suggestions regarding the old system, primarily about the volume of spam each account used to receive. We know that many brothers and sisters have long since given up on their kkpsi.org and tbsigma.org email addresses because of spam, and we’re excited to offer those same addresses, with all the power and features of Google’s email service. This means more options, more storage space, and far less spam—all for free, both to you and to the national organizations.

Here are just a few of the features of Google Apps:

• Select your own @kkpsi.org or @tbsigma.org email address
• High-quality spam filtering
• Google’s award-winning Gmail web interface
• Six gigabytes of storage for each account (compared to 15 megabytes before!)
• Access to Google Docs, allowing you to edit and collaborate on documents and spreadsheets.
• Google Calendar, including the ability to share schedule information with other members.
• The same ability to access your email on the road or in an external email client as we’ve had in the past.

If you were a current user of these accounts during the change, you’ve no doubt seen the new system. If you abandoned your kkpsi.org or tbsigma.org account long ago, or never had one – you’ll soon be able to sign up for a free account! We have disabled new sign-ups temporarily while we finish the transition, but check out kkpsi.org and tbsigma.org around mid-February to get your free email address!

We sincerely hope you like this new system and that it addresses your needs. If you have any comments, concerns, or suggestions; please feel free to contact us at National Headquarters!
