1. Tau Beta Sigma Board of Trustees Update

Earlier this month Kelly Eidson was introduced by the TBS National Council President, Kimbi Sigle, as the newly appointed member of the Board of Trustees for the 2007-2011 term.

Kelly (Twomey) Eidson joined Tau Beta Sigma in the spring of 1996 with the Beta Sigma chapter at Purdue University. While at Purdue, Kelly served in numerous chapter leadership positions, as well as two terms on the North Central District council. Upon graduation, she became a Life Member in 2000 and quickly became involved as a Director with the National Alumni Association, representing the North Central District until summer 2007. In addition, Kelly was instrumental in the creation of the new Tau Beta Sigma Alumni Association.
Kelly lives in Arlington Heights, IL with her husband, Bill, and son, Charles, and looks forward continued service to the sorority and support of women in music as a Trustee for the 2007-2011 term.

On a different note, the TBS Board of Trustees held elections on September 24 and Alan Harriet was elected to be the new Chairman of the Board and Melanie Meehan was selected as Vice-Chair.

Congratulations to Alan, Melanie and Kelly and thank you for your continued service to Tau Beta Sigma!!

2. Kappa Kappa Psi Celebrates Music in November

This year Kappa Kappa Psi will once again celebrate music in the month of November. What better way to celebrate the month of our fraternities founding, than celebrating what we are truly about, bands and music. As a chapter, set aside a time to go to a concert or, better yet, even have your own recital. This is a time to celebrate music, bands, and how it relates to Kappa Kappa Psi. Take time to plan a service project that directly relates to music. Usher a concert, organize a reading band, or set up a lab band for music major to practice conducting. Be creative and have fun. Finally, make sure you submit your programs to me (adamcantley@kkpsi.org) after you have completed them for the Spring 2008 PODIUM!

AEA,

Adam Cantley
National VP for Programs

3. KKPsi & TBS Sign Merchandise Agreement with Carrington Creations

We are pleased to introduce a new national vendor to provide merchandise for you! George Morhack, owner of Carrington Creations based in Florida, has a strong history of providing quality products for universities in the southeast, and we are proud to add to options for you as we all search for that perfect clothing article to display our letters! We invite you to check out Carrington Creations at www.carringtoncreations.com and let the Headquarters know if you like this new addtion to our national vendor chain!

4. Have you ordered your Brick for National HQ Walk of Fame??

For those of you who have been to the National Headquarters, you have seen the Walk of Fame. The Walk of Fame is a brick sidewalk area surrounding Stillwater Station where chapters and individuals have the opportunity to purchase and place a brick to honor someone special or the chapter as a whole! There currently are nearly 500 bricks with names inscribed from Boh & Wava to recent DSMM and OSMA winners, and everyone has the opportunity to add to the Walk!

We are required to have a minimum order before we can submit the paper work to the brick company, and we are at that point right now. Deadline to place an order this fall is October 15, 2007. There is a brick order form on the HQ website at http://www.kkytbs.org/forms/BrickOrderForm.pdf, so print it out and get it in to us if you have someone special you want to commemorate on the KKPsi & TBS Walk of Fame! If you have any questions, please call the National HQ.
