Month of Musicianship
by Christine Beason, National VPP
November is the Kappa Kappa Psi Month of Musicianship. It is always our mission and purpose to support music and band, but November should be used as an opportunity to prove our mission to the world!
During November, reach out beyond your own chapter, band and school to show everyone how much you really love and support band and music. Begin planning now for a special project.
Make sure you document your activities in writing and photographs and send them to me (firstname.lastname@example.org). Your project may just appear in The Podium! Look for project ideas to come over the next few weeks!

On behalf of the Kappa Kappa Psi National Council, it is a distinct pleasure to announce the installation of the Theta Lambda Chapter of Kappa Kappa Psi, Chapter #203, at The University of Memphis, in Memphis, Tennessee. The Installation took place October 25, 2009 on The University of Memphis campus.
Thanks to the Lambda Rho Chapter of Tennessee Tech University for serving as the advising chapter and serving as the ritual team. At the conclusion of the installation ceremony, Lambda Rho presented the new chapter with a paddle.
Theta Lambda is the first Kappa Kappa Psi chapter to be installed in the 2009-2011 Biennium.
Charter Members include:

There were many friends and family members present at the installation. I am pleased to say that there were THREE districts represented at the installation ceremony - Southeast, Southwest, and Northeast. Attending the ceremony were active and alumni brothers of Pi, Delta Delta, Epsilon Chi, Eta Gamma, Theta Phi, Iota Nu, and Lambda Rho, with Southwest District Member-At-Large Andy Smith. The Iota Mu chapter of Tau Beta Sigma also attended the installation and presented the new brothers with several gifts - including their first set of fraternity letters.
It was a privilege to serve as the Installing Officer for Theta Lambda. Thank you to everyone for their role in Kappa Kappa Psi's return to The University of Memphis. Please join me in welcoming this newest chapter to the Brotherhood, and supporting them in their great achievements to come.
