1. Kappa Kappa Psi Installs a New Chapter!
Brothers,
It my pleasure to announce the installation of the Theta Chapter at Oregon State University in Corvallis, OR. The installation took place on Saturday, January 3rd, 2009 on the Oregon State Campus.
Thanks to the Gamma Chapter at the University of Washington for serving as the advising chapter for this colony as well as for performing the Third Degree for this event. Thanks also to Brad McDavid, Past WD Governor for your work as advising person for the colony.
There were several visitors who attended this installation. Several brothers from the Iota Gamma Chapter at Washington State attended and from what I understand, participated in a pep band the night before the installation along with the Gamma Chapter. Other guests attending were from the Alpha Kappa Chapter, Jen Murdock Past National Chapter Field Representative and Krista Phillips (Iota Pi), Past Western District President and Ryan Phillips (Iota Pi), Past Western District Member at Large.
I have to tell you this was a very special day. First we were given a great tour of campus then after the installation ceremony, there were several alumni brothers from the 60's and 70's who were in Theta. It was amazing fellowshipping with those alumni brothers and connecting a lost history of Oregon State.
Theta returns to Kappa Kappa Psi as Chapter #8 and is the ninth chapter to be installed this biennium!
Charter Members of the chapter are as follows:
Erin Gentry
Branden Hansen
Sean Hunter
Megan Ilg
Naomi Jeffries
Amanda Paul
Kelsey Quinn
Tania Rysko
Matthew Vogt
Nicholas Webster
Nicole Wilson
It was my honor to serve as Installing Officer and to work with this colony. I cannot wait to see this chapter in action.
Please join me in welcoming back Theta into our Fraternal family.
