Attendance Call

The ever beautiful Amy Dorsch presented information on this years fantastic summer FUNction!

It will be held at the exciting Six Flags over Kentucky Kingdom and Kampgrounds of America; (15 minutes away from each other)

Projected price is $38/person. Includes park admission, lodging, and some meals

The Projected date is: June 18-20; we recommend that the new dates be June 25-27, due to Fathers Day, and Ryans Wedding (which will be cool)!!!!

THEN, as an ice-breaker, everyone talked about underwear!

Leadership/Block Topics

Leadership topics were considered very good and interactive: Conflict Resolution, Mock Meeting, Relations, Mafia, Fanfare for the Common Joe. It was agreed that most people like interactive topics more than strict discussions.

We decided that the workshops at leadership should meet ONE qualification: does it teach or develop leadership? We suggest more workshops focused on training chapter officers.

Blocks were found to be productive and exciting. One of the biggest drawbacks is the lack of interactive workshops, though at Block, lecture topics are still appropriate.

What should we pursue in the future?

Projects- what is available? We should also pursue more Awards information Workshop.

District Fundraisers and projects workshop, teach people about whats going on

Follow through on district projects!

National Student Composition Project

Extension of National Commissioning Project

We hereby charge the District President to create an ad hoc committee with a least one Alumni member to explore the following questions, and report back to the 2000 programs committee:

How can ensure quality of work? How much is this going to cost? Which District Officer should oversee this Project? Who would premiere the piece?

Should we do it?
