Commissioning Project- the committee has already been selected: Jeff Brown(Head-TBSigma), Joe Weber(Head-KKPsi), Matt Drase(Alumni), Susan Lingenfelter(Ex-officio),Amy Dorsch(KKPsi), Carter Adler(KKPsi) Timings: By July 1st, 1999 the committee will provide information on where, when, and by whom the selected piece will be premiered. October 1st, 1999- List of possible composers, samples, bios, acceptingnominations from the district, and establishing guidelines for selection. February 1st, 1999- Filter list to 5-8 candidates 2000 District Convention- Sub-committee established under Joint Programscommittee to slate a candidate. We will possibly request the presence of this committee at future officermeetings. Communications Award- A good idea in spirit, but a hesitation to createeven more awards. A reward system might be better where the winningchapter gets to run a seminar at block meetings. A point system wassuggested but not recommended, as it will probably cause years and yearsof bickering over details. The purpose of this program is to promotecommunication between chapters and to recognize chapters in the districtthat extend their brotherliness or sisterliness. A plan will be developedfor the December officer meeting and the project is assigned to Doug andMichelle with Randell advising (since it was his idea in the first place). Plaque cards & NCDHB T-shirts- Officers will pay for their own NCDHBt-shirt. Officers should have money by fall meeting so orders canbe placed for plaque cards.
