Sister Chapters

We first discussed possible activities to do with our sister chapters. Some suggestions were e-mail pals, gifts, card and visits for degrees. Possible problems with this program were distance, lack of time and permanent versus rotating. We also questioned “permanent” sister chapters. We felt that it was contradictory for permanent sister chapters to rotate every two years. Therefore we recommend that the current permanent sisters remain permanent instead of rotating every two years for the exception of Beta Sigma. We felt that the distance between Beta Sigma and Zeta Alpha and Zeta Gamma was too great and reassigned Beta Sigma to Rho and Epsilon.

Permanent Sister Chapters

Lambda and Zeta Epsilon

Gamma Rho and Alpha Xi

Gamma Mu and Epsilon Iota

Chi and Alpha Delta

Theta and Delta Epsilon and Eta Eta

Zeta Rho and Eta Zeta

Rho and Epsilon and Beta Sigma

Zeta Alpha and Zeta Gamma

The rotating sister chapters are reassigned randomly at even year District Conventions and the new rotating sister chapters are:

Epsilon Iota and Zeta Rho

Zeta Gamma and Eta Eta

Gamma Mu and Eta Zeta

Beta Sigma and Delta Epsilon

Theta and Zeta Epsilon

Zeta Alpha and Lambda

Gamma Rho and Epsilon

Alpha Delta and Alpha Xi

Rho and Chi

·        We charge the 2001 Programs committee to continue evaluating the sister chapter program.

One suggestion that was also discussed was the possibility of having a sister chapter lunch at convention providing more time for chapters to get to know members of their sister chapter.

We also discussed the possibilities of having a rotating brother chapter similar to that of the rotating sister program.

·        We charge the 2001 Programs Committee to discuss the possibility of having a rotating brother chapter.
