Credentials and Resolutions

 

The Credentials and Resolutions committee was charged with compiling a list of all national, NCD, alumni, life, and other district personnel in attendance. We were also charged with awarding the Chapter Distance Award and Chapter Participation Award.

Included in the report is the list of miles between schools that was compiled by last year’s committee, in order to assure consistent calculations for the Chapter Distance Award.

The committee recommends that a space be included on the Chapter Report Cover Sheet for total number of active members in each chapter at the time of convention. This would save a lot of running for the committee.

The current guidelines for the two awards are as follows:

 

CHAPTER DISTANCE AWARD

  1. The Chapter Distance Award will be given to the chapter of Tau Beta Sigma traveling the greatest total number of miles from their school to the convention site.
  2. The total number of active, prospective, and conditional members present for each chapter will be multiplied by the number of miles from their school to the convention site to obtain the total distance for the chapter.

 

CHAPTER PARTICIPATION AWARD

  1. The Chapter Participation Award will be given to the chapter of Tau Beta Sigma with the highest percentage of active members in attendance.
  2. Only active members will be counted for this award. No prospective, conditional, inactive, or alumni members will be counted.
  3. The percentage for the chapter will be the number of active members present at the convention divided by the number of active members in the chapter.

 

Attached are the computations for the Chapter Distance Award, Chapter Participation Award, a list of VIP’s, total membership in attendance, and the table of mileage from school to school.
