TBS Sisterhood Travel Award

This award is designed to make it easier for NCD TBS chapters to visit other chapters in the district. Chapters who send a group to visit another chapter in the district can receive financial assistance in the form of reimbursement for travel costs. A chapter can earn this award for visiting any other chapter in the district, not just a designated "sister" chapter, though we do encourage you to visit your sister chapter!!

Here are the rules:

• The award is a maximum of $50.
• Receipts must be provided to receive reimbursement
• The money will cover gas and *reasonable* food costs (we're not subsidizing fillet mingons with this! Fast food and low-cost casual dining are generally acceptable; just use your best judgement!)
• A chapter that intends to apply for this award must notify the NCD council at least three days prior to the trip. For now, send your notification emails to ncdvpsp@tbsigma.org, though stay tuned, contact info may change!! Include your destination and a rough estimate of the costs.
• The council will reimburse the travel costs it approves (so if you buy that fillet mingon anyway and try to get us to reimburse you, we don't have to!!)
• The visit does not qualify for this award if it is to attend a scheduled district event. Athletic events, degrees, and almost any other reason is fair game.
• In addition to reimbursement of costs, chapters receiving this award will be recognized at district convention. (I doubt it would hurt your chances for certain other major awards, either!)
