| Outstanding Service to Music Award | No official deadline | This award is presented by the Sorority to a woman who has made a significant contribution to bands through outstanding musicianship, composition, or other means of distinguished service. Nominations are accepted by the National Council. Nominations should include the awards application, a letter of nomination, a resumé, and letters of recommendation from individuals who know the nominee well. |
| Wava Banes Turner Award | April 15 | Each biennium, the Wava Banes Turner Award is presented to one member who has demonstrated outstanding and continued service to Tau Beta Sigma. Nominees for this award must be a life, honorary, or alumnae member of Tau Beta Sigma for a minimum of four years. Recipients are selected by a vote of the Board of Trustees, National Council, District Counselors, and District Presidents. National Officers are not eligible for this award until out of office for five years. Nominations should include the awards application, a letter of nomination, a resumé, and letters of recommendation from individuals who know the nominee well. |
| Stanley G. Finck Memorial Award | January 1 of convention year | This memorial award was created in 1998 to honor those individuals who exemplify the spirit of joint cooperation that Mr. Finck consistently demonstrated. This award is to be one of the highest honors that someone in either organization can receive. A nominee for this award must have terminated his/her undergraduate affiliation with a college/university at least five (5) years prior to being nominated. The award will be given once every two years per organization in conjunction with the National Convention. The person(s) nominating must choose a candidate from the other organization. Nominations should include the application, a letter of nomination, a resumé, and letters of recommendation from individuals who know the nominee well. |
| Paula Crider Award | January 1 | The Paula Crider Award was created in 1999 to honor outstanding university band directors who have distinguished themselves in the field of university bands. In addition, they have been supportive of Tau Beta Sigma and its ideals. The award will be given once a year. Nominations should include the application, a letter of recommendation from the nominating chapter, and resumé. |
| Baton | January 1 and June 1 | The Baton was created in 2001 to honor student leaders in the Sorority who have made outstanding contributions to the Sorority. Nominations may be submitted by District Counselors, District officers, and/or Chapters. Nominations are to be sent to national Headquarters by January 1 and June 1; there may be more than one recipient in each 6-month period. |
