PERCUSSIONISTS
NEEDED for NIB.
We had a
wonderful response for the 2001 NIB except for
percussion. We have extended the deadline for
percussion to May 15. Tapes should be
submitted directly to me, Al Sergel, NWMSU BANDS,
800 University Drive, Maryville, MO 64468.
We would
appreciate any help you can offer to encourage
your best percussionists to submit at tape.
FYI 2001
National Intercollegiate Band
The NIB
will take place in Corpus Christi, TX, July
22-24. Each member will be provided three nights
housing, a luncheon with the conductor and
commissioning composers, an NIB polo shirt and
2001 NIB CD. We are very proud of this
outstanding national project. The 2001 NIB
conductor will be Bryan Shelburne, US Army
(Ret.), former Leader and Commander of the US
Army Band in Washington D.C. Our 2001
commissioned composer is Timothy Mahr.

THANKS
FOR ALL YOU DO!
I hope
each of you how important you are to the success
of the chapters on your campus. I truly hope you
understand the importance of giving some of your
time to support, communicate, and mentor your
chapter. They consider it an honor to serve your
band. This will be my last issue of the Condensed
Score as my term of office expires in July and a
new KKY VPPR will be appointed
for the 2001-2003 biennium. It has been a
pleasure and honor to serve this great
fraternity. I wish you all a great summer. AEA
