1. To All Brothers & Sisters of KKPsi & TBS

by Lt Col Alan Bonner, National Executive Director

To all returning Active Students I want to extend my best wishes to each of you as you begin another academic year! By now most of you are well entrenched with new schedules, academic challenges, and old friends in your chapters and bands.

Throughout the year I will be sending out this electronic newsletter to bring you good news, important messages & reminders, and guidance from the National Councils on isssues that impact the Fraternity & Sorority. NewsNotes On-Line is designed to be easy to read, economical to distribute, and quick to download. You won't find lots of flashy stuff; just information about KKPsi & TBS.

At this time it is distributed direct to national & district leaders, and it is up to each district's officers to make sure it is forwarded to all of their respective chapters. As it makes its way to chapter leaders, I ask that chapter leaders also distribute to each member of the chapter.

There are many projects underway in both organizations from facilities at the HQ to projects with our websites and more! We want you all to know what is going on in KKPsi & TBS.

May each of you have a fantastic academic year and may your experience in KKPsi & TBS be exceptionally positive! Serve your bands well; look out for your Brothers & Sisters; and recruit well for your chapters! Take great care of your Membership Candidates!

5. Headquarters Staff Hires New Publications Manager

by Lt Col Alan Bonner, National Executive Director

This past spring I was informed that Marcus Brown, our Publications Manager for the past two years, had been accepted into a special graduate program at Virginia Commonwealth University, and that he would be resigning his position with us at the end of July. Having gone through a search process for this difficult position four times in the past 10 years, I was very concerned about finding someone who could match Marcus' outstanding skills and loyalty to KKPsi & TBS.

I'm pleased to announce that we have indeed found the right guy! Our new Publications Manager is Jake Burk.

Jake graduated in spring 2005 with a B.A. in Advertising from Oklahoma State University. This past year he spent in Dallas doing freelance work for a number of advertising agencies & marketing departments, gaining invaluable experience. He has hit the ground in a full sprint, and his first major project was to complete the fall issue of the PODIUM. I'm happy to say it is at the printers now, and we hope to have it shipped to all of you very soon.

If you have not had the opportunity already to talk or meet Jake, please do feel free to welcome him at podium@kkytbs.org. He's always looking for great stories about our chapters & members, especially if you have some photos that reflect what our organizations are all about. Talk to him about your ideas for stories about KKPsi & TBS and your service to bands!!

Welcome aboard Jake!

Lt Col Alan Bonner, USAF(ret.)
National Executive Director
