at the invitation of the writers and director. Learn about how this partnership took place, and about how some elements of the movie were directly influenced by how we live Kappa Kappa Psi every day on campus.

This presentation focuses on the early years of the Fraternity including some of the challenging issues facing our Founders. Topics include the family life of Boh, the poor relationship between Scroggs and Martin, the early NIB, and women in the Fraternity. The process for restoring the archives of the Fraternity will be discussed.

  Col. Alan Bonner, National Executive Director, Kappa Kappa Psi and Tau Beta Sigma

Lieutenant Colonel Bonner spent over 26 years in the USAF Band program and served in nine different AF Bands. His positions included starting at the bottom as an Airman Trumpet player at Lowry AFB in Denver, Colorado and concluding as the Commander and Conductor of the USAF Band in Washington, DC. He provides a unique perspective of what you will experience if you are fortunate to have the privilege to serve in any of our USAF Bands in the 21st Century!

How is your chapter presenting itself? The Fall Activity Report and Chapter Summary Report are the best opportunity for you to present your chapter to national and district officers, as well as document your chapter's progress. This workshop will explore how to write an effective report detailing the successes of your chapter, how to use the report to improve your own record keeping, and how to organize the report to identify areas for chapter growth.

A look back at the role of women in college marching bands and how that has changed over the years. Many bands did not allow women membership until the introduction of Title IX regulations in the early 70’s, while others have permitted them all along. Others have gone through some strange times (such as not allowing men and women to stand next to each other on the field!) This session includes interesting historical information and anecdotes, as well as interviews with individuals who were right in the middle of it all!
